Updated: June 12 2005 I got tired of "hand rolling" my Povray .ini files so I decided to write gpovini to make the job easier. The options I've included are the ones I use for my animations and should be useful for most of your needs. The source code is GPL'd so you're welcome to make modifications. Usage is pretty simple. Fill in the necessary information in the text areas, activate buttons, select from dropdown menus, then click the WRITE INCLUDE FILE button. See the README file that comes with the source code for more information on usage. I've provided an RPM which I built on a Fedora Core 3 system but it should work for most modern Linuxes. And there's a gzipped source tarball if you'd rather do it that way. I've compiled this for machines running kernel 2.6.x, LibC 2.3.5 and GTK+ 2. The code is pretty straight forward C and GTK so it should compile for other Unices and C libraries etc as well (If you do compile with other libraries or operating systems let me know so I can post the info. Get my email address from the home page). For compiling there's a Makefile which is probably your easiest option. Or you can see the README file for complete compile instructions. Requirements: GTK+ 2, X-window |
